It’s amazing how people show you who they really are when you allow yourself to open up to them.

For the last week, several people I hadn’t expected to told me how much they loved me and how much they cared for me. The emailed me, called me and/or came to visit. They let me know that I wasn’t alone, and that they we’re always here for me.

For the first time in many years, I accepted these statements because I wholeheartedly believe the people saying them. It’s amazing the things that can happen for you when you allow yourself to just be open for it.

I’ve finished fighting it. I can’t fight it anymore on my own. I can’t fight the world by myself.

I need my cavalry. And they’ve arrived.
